Capacity Building

Sandton Medical Research Centre is committed to transformation within the clinical trials industry in South Africa. We look for opportunities to employ and train individuals from previously disadvantaged backgrounds, and give them a platform from which they can gain experience in this field.

We are proud to have trained investigators, pharmacists, nurses and study coordinators in the last 3 years. Our capacity building program includes GCP training, Protocol Training and IATA training for site staff.

We currently have a staff complement that is 88% female and 88% from previously disadvantaged communities.
